Machine gun minimal here on this release from Craft. The bassline comes on like a hyperactrive AK 47 before dropping out into more minimal territories and then re-emerging as the track reaches a crescendo which will probably cause the roof to fall through in your local nightclub (which could be a good thing or a bad thing?) Oxia adds noise and a bit crush clap but we prefer the original.

Fabrizio Gattuso

M8 Mag (UK): Time for some more late night head twisting action from Tomcraft’s "Craft" imprint with this healthy dose of peak time heads down club action. It's a simple, sparse and pretty devastating club tool with a fast running bassline and huge splutterings of white noise which play out into minimal kick drum passages which get the dancefloor roaring with pleasure. Flip it over for a remix from Kompakt's Oxia which follows a similar formula but adds a trancey breakdown riff that just grows and grows. Two very useful club cuts that are worth hunting down. M7/M8.

365mag.com: Overall Rating (1 to 10): 8.5. Out of Germanys’ heartland comes Markus Lange, a 20 year old upstart with a mind deadset on conquering the world of progressive and techno. Doubt his talents? Name another producer of his age that has a history of working with labels such as Dirty Dancing, Pocketgame, Superfancy, and Psycho Shoxxs. A tad difficult, isn’t it? Lange’s latest release on Craft Music is titled Ruhestörung Plattenbau, which, upon the initial few listens, I personally can’t seem to get enough of. The original mix is first up: a numbingly deep, quick paced track with enough turns & twists to make even Swiss drivers dizzy. Beginning on a deep note, the track evolves slowly, building a slight acid undertone, but somehow retains an element of old-school techno, with its driving 16th-note bassline and fat synth work. French DJ/producer Oxia provides the remix, which is a standout track in itself. Slightly slower than the original, but, much like a good zinfandel, it has a beautifully round flavor that sets it apart from its counterparts. A fantastic progressive re-work, this version has a dark, warm bassline, and fluttering synth lines that make it a great transition piece in faster sets. The production value on this track is some of the best I’ve heard in a very long time. If these two tracks have anything to say about Lange’s talents, then this is one producer you definitely need to keep your eyes on. Don’t be surprised to find this one on Lutzenkirchens’ chart in the coming weeks.

Lewis Dene (Update Mag): German styled hard edged electro house with a good remix from Oxia
